Disaster Relief (Turkey Earthquake 2023)

Financial Donation:
Delivered a donation check to the Turkish Embassy (March 3, 2023), deposited into the Earthquake Victim Donation Account managed by the Cyprus Foundations Administration (EVKAF).
Essential Aid Supplies:
Dispatched five truckloads of food, clothing, and necessities to support earthquake victims.
Message of Unity:
Publicly expressed solidarity and compassion through a heartfelt message encouraging collective healing.

Animal Welfare

Yaacov Afik spends approximately 60.000 TL each month on providing food, vaccination, medications, neutering, etc., neutering. We have continuously, each month we been buying food for dogs at construction areas, and the shelter cats' meds and vaccines are also continuously, depending on their health

Monthly Animal Support:
Ongoing provision of food, medicine, vaccinations, and neutering procedures for stray dogs and cats.
Shelter & Construction Site Aid:
Regular food support for animals near construction sites and at shelters.
Municipal Dog Shelter Support:
Contributed to the construction and continuous food provision of a public dog shelter.
Neutering & Veterinary Care:
Maintained responsible stray animal population management through consistent neutering and medical care programs.

Elderly Care

Recognizing the importance of dignity for seniors, Yaacov Afik has funded critical renovations to elderly care facilities:

Güzelyurt Elderly Care Home:
Fully renovated facility, including installation of air conditioning.
Sınırüstü Elderly Care Home:
Renovated to enhance safety and comfort for elderly residents.
Maltepe Retirement Home (Istanbul):
Established a Winter Garden to offer a serene and functional space for residents during colder months.

Family & Children Care

Financial Aid to Families in Need:
Provided targeted financial support through collaborations with local leadership (Ötüken and Aygün Headmanships).
Cash Donations to Sick Children:
Offered direct financial assistance to children undergoing medical treatment, easing emotional and financial strain on families.

Education Initiatives in TRNC

Believing in education as a foundation for change, Yaacov Afik has made major contributions to schools across North Cyprus:

School construction projects (e.g., new classrooms at İskele Maarif College and construction of a survival park and playground for children at Şht. İlker Kalter Primary School, in Yeni İskele).
Ongoing support and donations for educational materials, renovations, and facility upgrades to promote safe and inspiring learning environments.

Road Asphalt Construction in key areas to improve mobility and safety.
Esentepe Police Station (bathrooms and restrooms renovation).
Hz. Ömer Tekkesi (restoration).
Land Registry Office (provision of storage and cabinetry support).
Larnaka Gençlerbirliği Business Center (construction materials and labor provided).
İskele Municipality Facilities (Long Beach Prefabricated Tribune, Long Beach Date Buffet)
